Lake Life
We spent a wonderful weekend with the Wolfe clan for Memorial Day. We spent the whole time at Julie's parents lake house, and we couldn't have had more fun. The weather was great, we loved catching up with our best pals and introducing them to Charlie, and Alec had the time of his life with Logan and the dozen or so other kids that were in and out of the house over the course of the weekend. We were talking on the way home about how we aren't sure if we have ever seen Alec happier; he's at a wonderful age as far as playing with other kids goes, so mix that with a house on the beach that has every fun outdoor toy you can think of, and you get a little piece of 3 year old heaven. We also had to chuckle at one point b/c Julie and I's mini vans were parked out front next to each other - funny how much our lives have changed in the last 8 years, but 5 kids later and we are still having just as much, if not more, fun together.

Alec, Logan, Zoe and Charlie
Charlie LOVED Aunt Julie, and promptly fell asleep every time she held him
He is so close to rolling over
Checking out the lake
Hunting for sea glass with Malia, one of the Wolfe kids' cousins
Malia played with Logan and Alec all weekend, she was awesome!
The jet skis! They weren't out yet for the season, so the kids spent almost an entire day cleaning them up and getting them ready with Jason and Matt. As you can see, this project was a hit for everyone.
Zach and Alec
3 year old trouble
Charlie's first boat ride - he slept the entire time
Alec told us that riding the boat was his favorite part of the weekend - he loved "the big waves and bumps"
Being adorable, he just chilled the whole weekend. He has turned out to be such a happy and easy going baby
The kids played several games together, all by themselves, we didn't help with a thing. It was pretty cute.
These two will be giving us trouble for the next 18 years or so
A family shot
Headed to Clam Diggers for some mashed potato pizza (possibly the best, and highest caloric valued, food ever made)
Alec even got to do some driving yesterday before we left. Hope everyone had as great a weekend as we did - certainly got us excited for summer!

Work
This morning while Alec was helping me get Charlie dressed, Alec stopped and said "Look Mom, Charlie is wearing a work shirt." This was b/c his short sleeved collared onesie looks like the short sleeved collared polo Matt had on this morning, and Alec watches Matt and his morning routine like a hawk. So, here are some pics of Charlie in his work shirt.

Charlie aka Ruchi-Pip
So I've been trying to upload this cute video of Charlie chatting with me all weekend, and for some reason I can't get blogger to work (any suggestions or tips??) So, here are some cute pics instead. A few random things about Charlie; just like Alec, his hair is all falling out and underneath is a layer of blond. I would say by 4 months he will be all blond. Also, looks like he finally has a nickname. Alec has a book called Tikki Tikki Tembo, and the main character in it has this crazy long name, Tikki Tikki tembo-no sa rembo-chari bari ruchi-pip peri pembo. Anyway, we read it all the time and the Chari Bari Ruchi part has become associated with Charlie. So, little Charlie has become known around here, especially to Alec, as Ruchi, or Ruchi-Pip. Totally random, but it's cute and fitting. At school this week Alec's teacher asked him his baby brother's name, and Alec proudly told her Ruchi. She gave me a pretty interesting look before I had Alec tell her that Ruchi was a just a nickname. So, enjoy the cute pics of our little Ruchi.
A terrible pic of Charlie, but I love it b/c it shows what a moose he is:)

Getting ready for Spring
Not too much to write about, but I thought I would put up a few pics from the last week. We have had a few tastes of spring weather, followed of course by days of wind and pouring rain, but we are all excited to get outside and have taken advantage of the sun whenever it decides to show up. Charlie was 10 weeks old on Tuesday:( He is as sweet as can be and we love him to pieces, but it is breaking my heart how fast he is growing up. On my scale this morning he weighed 16 lbs! He is getting more and more smiley and interactive and is doing a lot more giggling, especially when we blow raspberries for him. Last night he spent the entire night in his crib asleep on his back, and only got up to eat once at 4:30. Pretty impressive for a boy who wouldn't sleep on his back for more than 5 minutes just a few months ago. Alec is still loving school, and I am too, especially b/c he can be a rather contrary and whiny 3 year old when he is stuck at home inside with Charlie and I for too long. He is also 100% in the question stage and is literally cracking Matt and I up with the amount of "why's" he can fit into any one conversation. Last night I had to have Matt try to tell me what fat is made of b/c Alec asked and then could not accept my "I don't know" as an answer. The hard part is that he has his daddy's memory and really listens to my answers to his 1 million questions a day, so if I just make something up, he will then go and restate it as a fact to someone else while giving me the credit for the made up answer. Ah, 3 year olds:)
Chillin in the back yard
His new way to get the stomp rockets to go really high
Life lessons from Alec
Chatting with Dad
Charlie has been loving the activity mat I pulled out of the basement
Researching different kinds of jet engines
We even busted out the sidewalk chalk yesterday...
Happy spring to everybody
