Meeting Santa

We took the boys to meet Santa at Matt's office on Saturday.  It was pretty cute; Alec told Santa he wanted a chess set (which Santa was pretty impressed with,) and Charlie said he would like a golfing set.  Charlie was much more interested in the basketball game that was in the room than actually meeting Santa, and Alec said Santa had to just be a helper b/c he could see his regular work shoes under his boots:)  Josh had a cold, but was very fascinated with Santa's beard,

Thanksgiving

Happy belated Thanksgiving!  We had such a wonderful holiday and really enjoyed staying put and having a house full of family.  I have a ton of pictures here from the week that document all our craziness.  We are so thankful for our 3 happy and healthy boys, our family and friends and all the good will life has brought us.
We started the week with Alec's kindergarten Thanksgiving show.  Absolutely adorable, they did 5 costume changes and sang 14 songs, it was awesome and certainly blew all of Alec's previous preschool performances out of the water.  We all loved it, and an extra special thanks to Grammy who changed her flight and came early just so she could see it.
Grammy got the boys a special small xmas tree for their bedroom and we had fun making all the ornaments for it.
It was adorable, until Josh discovered that the ornaments were made of gum drops and started eating them at rapid pace whenever we turned our backs.  We also strung popcorn and cranberries that we hung on it, but one night after bed I found Charlie in his room and he had taken off all the cranberries and flung them around the room and was eating all the popcorn.  Long story short, the tree now just has lights.

Brody was begging Papa Ross to take him back with him to Colorado all week:)
Alec ran his first 5K on Thanksgiving.  It was a nice 20 degrees out and windy, but he didn't mind.  He ran the entire race (32 minutes) and loved it.  Matt had to slow him down several times.  His athletic ability ceases to amaze us all.

We were so happy to have Abby and I's childhood friend Karen and her family join us for Thanksgiving dinner

We also went to the holiday parade right downtown.  Ava was hands down the biggest fan of the parade
We even ended the week with some 40 degree temps, which just about felt like summer.  The boys spend the entire day outside
Cheers!!

Thankful

**Disclaimer**  The "wine" is sparkling grape juice, and the race is a 5K we ran
Thanksgiving morning, Charlie stayed home b/c it was too cold.

Nothing better than empty hotel hallways for toddlers
