New Chair

Charlie' s bday present from Grammy came a little early, and it was just too big to leave in the box. We think he likes it!

...and a flash back to his older brother and his first bday chair 4 1/2 years ago. For as much as I hear about how similar the boys look, I think they look pretty different at a year old. Man was Alec blond:)

Ski Trip

Our ski trip to CO was a huge success. All of us loved skiing and we were able to do a lot of it. Alec did 3 full days of ski school, which meant Matt and I were able to ski together for 3 days, which was such a treat and then we did a half day of skiing with Alec. Alec completely mastered the art of skiing and was totally confident and able to ski on his own by the last day. Aside from getting on and off the chair lifts, I think he would be fine on all greens and some blues. We also spent one day ice skating and another tubing. The kids all loved each others company, and aside from a few bouts of sickness and the typical chaos that goes along with 5 kids on a ski trip, it was a blast. We are all already excited about doing it again next year.

The hot tub was a huge hit with the kids after skiing, even Charlie got to take a few dips

What a great vacation!

Our little sportsman

Some adorable videos of Alec showing off his new skills. He did an amazing job skiing, honestly way better than Matt or I could have ever imagined, and he also made some tremendous strides with ice skating. Way to go little man! (and pardon my finger in the videos, apparently video tapping while skiing was a little more than I could handle.)

11 Months (a little late)

Sweet little Charlie turned 11 months old on our ski trip to Colorado! He got a pretty nasty cold while we were there, and was beat down with a fever and a cough, but he still managed to charm everyone. He spent 3 full days in the Beaver Creek daycare while we all skied (certainly the longest amount of time he has spent away from me before) and he did great. He was super happy and really enjoyed the company of the other babies. He has started to stand up on his own a lot more (and he is very impressed with himself when he does,) and he also started clapping this month. He could certainly walk if he tried, but he is very happy crawling and seems pretty uninterested at this point, which is so different than Alec who crawled for a few weeks and then took off walking at 9 months. He still loves to climb stairs, to eat solid foods, to he held (particularly by mommy) and to get into trouble. His favorite things these days are pulling apart pieces of the computer and rummaging through the dishwasher, which can keep him entertained for almost 30 minutes. We love you little C.

Why stand beside the dishwasher when you can climb right on in

We've given up on preventing this from happening and now happily let him throw out all the dirty silverware

What a little butterball
