Naughty

Just a few cute pics. The boys have been great lately, Alec continues to amaze us with his boundless amounts of energy. He is very serious into soccer and is playing 3 times a week. At his practice on Tuesday they did a scrimmage to 7, and you better believe Alec scored all 7 of the goals. He is super excited for his first outdoor game this Saturday. Charlie is hilarious and naughty. He is quite the climber and has gotten into lots or mischief lately. I had to carry him through the grocery store on Monday b/c he figured out how to climb out of the cart seat belt and spent the entire time standing up in the front of the cart hilariously laughing and snorting at himself. I also left him in his high chair to grab something from the laundry room yesterday and came back to find him at the end of the kitchen table - he climbed right out of his seat and all the way acrocss the table. Alec was never a big climber, so it's a funny stage for Matt and I to watch. Happy Wednesday:)

The smile snort, whenever we say "snort" to Charlie this is the face we get. Alec loves it

1 Year Pics

Just a few of our favorite pics from Charlie's 1 year birthday shoot. You can totally tell he was sick in a lot of the pics, but the photographer still managed to get some great ones. Such handsome boys:)

Easter

Happy Easter...a week late! We had a very nice and relaxing holiday weekend. We had plans to go to Toledo to celebrate with the Wolfes, but we had to cancel at the last minute and ended up just staying close to home, which was really nice. Matt was off on Friday, so we all enjoyed the 3 day weekend together. We had Easter dinner on Saturday with the Hoeltings, and the kiddos did an egg hunt in their neighborhood. Unlike most Easter egss hunts we've seen where there are not enough eggs and way too many kids, this was a really fun egg hunt with eggs hidden everywhere and Alec and Hayden had a ball. On Sunday we had an egg hunt in our back year and a great Easter brunch with the 4 of us. Alec had a blast participating in all the Easter festivities, and Charlie loved trying to tag along.

Helping me make pie, the bunny came to the gym on Saturday morning and painted faces:)

Hilarious

The bunny brought Alec a new tennis racket and Charlie his own soccer ball

Sorting his loot - word of advice, never send a pregnant mom to the store to buy Easter candy, I went nuts, and no, nothing healthy:)

Spring Break

We had a great spring break! My mom and Aunt Barbie flew into visit from CO, and we all took a family road trip up to the Wisconsin Dells. We stayed in a condo at one of the many giant indoor water parks in the area. The only way I can describe the place is as a Las Vegas for kids. It was completely insane; at our resort alone there were 4 indoor water parks (and I don't even know how many outdoor ones, b/c they aren't open yet,) a giant indoor ropes course, 2 putt-putts, a huge indoor play area/slide center, etc. It was nuts, and a PERFECT place for a 4 year old boy. We had a wonderful time playing at the water parks with Alec, who of course loved every minute of the huge slides, and it was wonderful to have my mom and aunt there to help us with Charlie, who also had fun splashing around. We were only there 2 nights, but could have easily been entertained for a least a week. We will definitely be taking a trip back with the boys this summer. On the trip home we stopped in Madison and checked out the town and campus, and then we spent the rest of he week relaxing, eating, and playing lot of dominoes. Charlie also made major strides while they were here, which include learning to sign more and taking his first steps! I didn't have time to take many pics, but here are a few.

Lots of crazy hotel bed fun, Charlie discovered the art of butt bouncing

Alec loved taking Charlie down one of the little slides

Wisconsin is beautiful, and the area around our condo was super green and wooded

So cute - Charlie stood at the table the entire meal and completely entertained us all:)
