Josh Aaron

We are thrilled to welcome another little boy to the Sungy family.  Josh Aaron joined us at 9:39a.m yesterday, weighing in at 8lbs 10oz.  My c-section went very smoothly and we have had a very easy and uneventful stay at the hospital thus far.  I'm hopeful to get home by tomorrow night, but if not, I will be home by Monday afternoon.  Alec is thrilled with being a big brother for the second time, and Charlie is completely indifferent thus far.  We will see how he reacts when Josh actually comes home.  Papa Randy has been running the show at home like a champ and the boys are doing great.  Here are a few pics from the last 48 hours.
Alec remembers brushing Charlie's hair at the hospital when he was born, so it was the first thing he did yesterday when he met Josh.

Holy Belly

I had to get some photographic proof of just how giant my belly is.  I feel great and on a day to day basis don't feel like I'm that big, but it's gotten to the point where I am stopped by strangers and asked about my due date 10+ times a day, so my tummy must look bigger than it feels, and I will agree, it is almost alarming how giant it looks from the side.  I had my last doc appt today and we are all scheduled to meet baby Sungy #3 on Friday morning.  We can't wait, but are also enjoying these last few days together as a family of four.
Alec insisted on taking this pic and that we all make funny faces
I can't believe how low I am carrying
Showing off our buddas.

p.s. I am willing to bet my house that we will be welcoming another little boy, and I am saying at least 8lbs, 10 oz, but the rest of the boys in the house are pulling for 9 lbs:)

Boys will be boys

Just a few funny videos I found today when uploading stuff off my camera.  The one with the door is from my mom's house this summer, and the other one was last weekend.  Alec got a pitching machine for his bday and the boys love it, so much so that they have taken to turning it on in the house.  What's really funny is that Charlie was 100% responsible for starting this little game.

Happy 5th BDay Alec

It is hard to believe that we became parents 5 years ago today.  What a crazy journey it has been.  Matt and I are both so proud of Alec and the little man he has become.   We have loved getting to be his parents for these last 5 years.  He is precocious and social, he is insanely athletic and has more endurance and energy than any other 5 year old I know - no joke, he is really smart, especially with math or anything to do with numbers, he loves his friends, school and all organized sports, he still completely worships and adores Matt, and he is very excited to become a big brother for the second time later this month.  We love you to pieces Alec Randall!!  Matt is usually gone for work before the boys wake up in the morning, but he surprised Alec and got him up this morning for a special trip to Dunkin Donuts.  When he walked in Alec was all confused and said, "What?  Is it the weekend?"  He also got to open his present from Matt and I, his very own set of light sabers, which may be the death of me, but have proven to be a complete hit so far.  He is saving the rest of his presents from family for this evening when Matt gets home from work.  He went to school this morning, made carrot cake cupcakes with Grammy this afternoon (his cake request,) we are going to putt-putt this afternoon, and then he has soccer practice this evening.  Not a bad b-day for a 5 year old if you ask me.
Can you say trouble??

Apple Orchard

We took our 3rd annual trip to the apple orchard on Sunday and Grammy was thrilled to get to join us.  The weather wasn't very good for apple growing this year, so we were a little worried, but the orchard did a great job of maintaining a decent amount of their crop and we left full of apples.  Charlie thoroughly enjoyed it and ate two entire apples, down to about an inch of rind, while walking around.  We also, as expected, went a little nuts in the gift shop and left with several serious bags of loot.
On the wagon ride out to the orchard
Alec took apple picking very serioulsy
This is pretty much how Charlie looked the entire time:)
