We met Katy and James for a hike up to the Royal Arches at Chataqua this morning. It was nice and overcast (although a little humid) and both the mommies and the boys got in a good work-out and had a great time. Alec and James are both at adorable ages right now, and were cracking Katy and I up with their silly beahvior, giggles and jokes on the way down. Our only problem is that Alec would much prefer to hike himself than be carried in the backpack, so there is a bit of fussing along the way, but the minute he is out and free he is thrilled.

I think it's just great you and Katie have reconnected, and that you have two wonderful boys in common. Alec and James are perfect.
Love the pictures! I need to get mine on the computer. James could not look more ragamuffin in that outfit (of his choice) and his scraggly hair though. Those boys were cracking me up on the way down! I love that they can make each other laugh so much! And to echo your mom's sentiments, I love it that we have known each other since we were so little and now have 2 little boys the same age-it is so much fun!
