My Potty

We bought Alec his first potty this weekend. We don't actually think he is ready to be potty trained, but he is very interested in the bathroom, and often accompanies Matt and I when we go, so we figured why not. He has also started referring to his diaper as his "tata." We have no idea where that is from, but he will sometimes point to his diaper and say "tata" when he needs to be changed, so he's getting there. For now, we just put the potty in the bathroom next to our toilet and let him sit on it whenever he comes to the bathroom with us. What is really funny is that he often makes loud grunting noises when he sits down...a behaviour I blame completely on his dad and their trips to the bathroom together. We haven't been bold enough to let him actually take his pants off yet, but I guess we will have to try that sooner or later. Here are some cute pics of him checking out the potty when I first brought it home.

This picture is hilarious b/c Alec actually looks "skinny," which is an adjective we have never used when describing him.
