Keeping Busy

It looks like we might finally see spring around here.  We've been so happy to have a few days warm enough to be outside and we've taken full advantage.  Our boys are SO much happier when they can be out in the sunshine.
Alec and I did a 5K color run in our neighborhood.  It was a lot of fun and Alec declared that from now on he wants to run all 5k's!
We even picked up Charlie before the finish

We took our bikes over to Geneva on Saturday and rode along the river.  Just like his brother at 3, Charlie made the entire first leg of the trip on his own, which is no easy feet with his small bike and training wheels.  He's definitely gonna learn to ride sans training wheels this summer
And we woke up this week to a crew of city workers in our yard cutting down a tree.  I guess a ton of the trees in Wheaton are infected with this Ash bug and the city is cutting them down, which is sad to see b/c they are cutting some huge trees, but it was completely fascinating for 3 boys to watch.

First: Never heard of a Color Run. It looked like fun, but does the color come out?
Next: The picture of Charlie holding Joshie's hand melted my heart, then there was Alec with his arm around Charlie. That one completely did me in.
Third: we have Ash Borer too! I am very sorry you had to lose trees but can completely understand why 3 little boys would find that fascinating. Built in entertainment compliments of the city.
Last: Is there any athletic activity your boys don't thrive at? They always amaze me, and make me very proud at the same time. Fun guys for sure.

I am cracking up about Charlie in his basketball jersey and shorts on his bike, my bet is that it wasn't warm enough for that outfit, ha!
