We celebrated Alec's 6th birthday yesterday with a party at a rock climbing gym. Alec has rock climbed a few times this summer and loved it, so I was thrilled to find a community center by our house with a climbing gym that allows parties. The kids LOVED it, Alec and 8 of his pals, including Charlie, climbed for an hour and a half! It was everyone but Alec and Charlie's first time, and they all did great. It's an awesome activity for a bunch of crazy 5-8 year olds:) Alec of course scaled all the way to the top of the 30 ft wall on his first try and was able to make it to the top of 4 other walls. He even got to go to the auto belay section of the gym at the end. 3 of his friends were also able to make it all the way to the top of the wall. We will absolutely be going back this winter for lots more climbing. Definitely the best birthday party Alec has had so far!
You better believe that this one climbed too, and actually made it higher than a few 5 year olds:)

That looks like the best party ever! I can't believe Alec is turning 6 tomorrow!!!! Maybe Alec can take us climbing when we come over Turkey Day :)
