Check out my new trick

So Alec learned a new skill this week. He was playing a game of peek-a-boo with dad one night in his bed. Matt would kneal on the side of the bed and then jump up to see Alec sitting in the bed (Alec is endlessly entertained with this. So, Matt popped up a few times, and then to his surprise he popped up to see Alec's little head staring over the side of the bed at him, instead of Alec inside the bed. The little man can officially pull himself up into a standing position and has had a heck of a time doing so since. He is really good at it in his bed, but also made it up while using the coffee table in the family room today. Can you say trouble for mom and dad? Just look how proud he is of himself.

For X-mas Abby and Ross got us a photo session w/ Julie Harris, the photographer who did both Abby and I's weddings, and several other significant events for us in between. She came and took pics on Saturday and we couldn't be happier with them. Alec was actually in a bad mood, he didn't nap in the morning, and Julie still managed to get some of the most incredible pics ever. We couldn't be happier with them. Attached is the link - if you click on Erin's favorites you can see the ones we like best, and if anyone wants any just let me know. I have all the digital copies, so don't order them through the website b/c I can print them much cehaper. Thanks so much Abby and Ross for the best gift ever.

Happy Easter

Alec enjoyed his first Easter. We had brunch at our house, and Alec got all dressed up. Aunt Abby gave him his very first sweater vest (yes - sweater vest) and he wore it with style on Sunday. He also enjoyed his first bite of a pancake, sitting (and dozing a bit) in his high chair, chewing on a frozen carrot - thanks Eatser bunny, and gazing with wonder at Madison and Brody. All in all, a great holiday for a 6 month old.

We celebrated Abby's b-day on Sunday, and Alec had a great time hanging with his family. He spent a decent amount of time staring at Uncle Ross and enjoyed some bananas from Grammy.

The boys....Alec has a new fascination with Brody - he stares at him constantly, and believe it or not, Brody is actually starting to hang out with Alec, although he is very selective about when he will socialize.
