My tan little blondie

So everywhere I go I get stopped by people who comment on Alec's tan and blonde hair. I guess I don't notice it so much b/c I am with him everyday, but apparently he looks like a little surfer. He has gotten really dark - despite the 50 sunblock that I lather all over him, and his blone hair is just getting lighter and lighter in the sun. It's a pretty stylish look the little man has right now. Here are some pics of the blondie playing in the pop cans (a new favorite thing to do) and hiking in his backpack.

Cousins

Here are some cute pics of Alec w/ his 2nd cousin Ansley - my cousin Chad's daughter, and Reid. I actually babysat for Reid this week, and had my first experience w/ 2 babies!! I was nervous, but it was great! Both boys had fun, and aside from Alec hitting Reid in the head a few times, it was a fairly tear free event. I actually started thinking that maybe I could handle two - oh my godness did I just say that?

Ahhhh.... meat sticks!!!

Alec has a new favorite food - meat sticks!! I don't think they could be any nastier, and Matt says they taste just like cat food (I guess he has sampled that as well,) but Alec loves them. Matt made the mistake of giving him and entire stick at once and Alec took it down in one bite. Thanks Grammy for turning him on to these lovely treats....

Father's Day

We had a nice Father's Day. Matt played golf in the afternoon w/ Nate, so Renae and I headed to the pool with the boys. Alec likes being in the water!! However, he didnt nap well in the morning, so he spent most of the time asleep in his car seat, which was WONDERFUL for mommy, who got to lay out and enjoy the sun. Then we had dinner, with Nate and Renae and Gene and Susan, over here. Here are some cute pics from the day.

Jumping

Alec's all time favorite activity - jumping in the jumper. He gets going really high and just squeals with delight. Great before bed calorie burner.

Alec has gotten really speedy at the stairs, and if you aren't careful he will sneak over to them when you aren't looking. Still no success with learning to go down though....

Summer Fun

Matt had a conference in Vegas on Friday. He was supposed to fly out and back on Friday, but b/c he loves Vegas so much and hasn't been able to go lately, he decided to be insane and stay until 6 a.m. on Saturday morning w/ no hotel room. He convinced one of his friends at work to stay with him, so they ratted around Vegas all night. Alec and Brody and I spent Friday night at Grammy and Papa's house. We had a great time - Abby came over on Saturday to plant her flower pots, so Alec got to play outside in the dirt, which was a riot. He also enjoyed helped Papa look for a mouse in the kitchen and getting a bath in the big tub by Grammy. On Saturday night we had dinner at Gene and Susan's and met Renae's parents and brother who were in town visiting. Renae's niece Emerson was really cute with Alec, and as you can see he was quite taken with her too.
