Lunch w/ Daddy
Memorial Day Weekend
We had a fabulous Memorial Day Weekend. My cousin Jenny got married (and her wedding was spectacular,) so my dad and Loretta were in town and stayed with us. It was great for them to spend some QT with little Alec, although he was a bit under the weather when they were here. He was still a trooper though, and hung in there for some shopping and eating out and even learned to climb all the way up to the top of the stairs while they were here. He's gotten really good at it, although he doesn't understand that he will fall if he lets go, so he has to be closely supervised, which can be tough b/c he can crawl quickly!!! Dad and Loretta left on Sunday, and on Monday I ran the Boulder Bolder w/ Renae. It was great, as always, although not the best run of my life. It was still fun though, and since it ended up being overcast and rainy we changed our bbq plans and hung out w/ Nate, Renae and Reid during the day. We had pizza and went in the hot tub! The hot tub sits low in their deck, so Alec could pull himself up on it and play in the water, which he loved. The pics are on Renae's camera, but I will post them soon. The pic is of Alec snuggling up with Paula on the night of the wedding - she rocks and babysat for us on Fri of a holiday weekend! Alec never snuggles by the way! We think he could sense she has his soon to be friend in her belly.
Balloon Launch
The Erie town fair is every May, and as a part of it they do a hot air balloon launch, which takes place right on the driving range of the golf course in our neighborhood. It's a pretty awesome thing to have right down the block! This year Grammy and Alec and I (Matt stayed in bed...) went and checked out the balloons. We met up with Kelly, Andy and little Sophie Schober tooo. There were about 60 balloons launched, and Alec seemed to enjoy them, although he was a little more into people watching than balloon watching!
