It was beautiful on Sunday, so we had a little family outing at the park. Alec is big enough to fit in the swing, which is a lot of fun. Check out the stylish shark shades....thanks Grammy.

7 Month Maniac

I have been taking a picture of Alec on the couch in a white onesie since he was born. I have a cute little photo album that documents every month. However, things are getting a little harder. Mr. Mover no longer will sit still on the couch, instead he would like to crawl, or dive forward straight off of the couch. Needless to say, this months pic was a little challenging. Here's a great action shot.

Genetics at Work

I can't beleive I am going to post this picture, but I have to. So, Matt sometimes makes this horrible face - he does this really strange thing with his mouth and squints his eye. He basically looks like a pirate and uses this face to drive me crazy b/c I think it is awful and scary and I hate it. So - just to afirm that fact that I have a little Matt running around, Alec busted out the face on me yesterday. I took out the camera to take some pics of Alec in his hat before we went for our walk - and this is what I got. Are you kidding me???

I want to crawl

It seems like every day Alec is doing something new. His latest - he doesn't want to sit anymore, instead he falls forward and then rocks back and forth on either his arms and butt, or he goes all the way to his knees and then rocks back and forth on his hands and knees. Looks like someone wants to crawl to me.

Swimming

Alec had his first official swim lesson today and it went really well. We didn't do much, splashed around in the water and played with some ping-pong balls (which was of course the highlight of the lesson for Alec b/c he could eat them.) Alec was a little concerned throughout (check out his face,) but he still enjoyed himself and I think he will end up loving the water. Plus, the new pool at the Erie rec is fabulous, it has a water slide, a heated lazy river and an entire shallow pool with fountains and toys for kids!!

Sunday Night Smiles

These are the grins we get after giving Alec frozen bananas to chew on for dessert!!!! We've just learned how wonderful the little mesh baby food bags are.

Check out my new trick

So Alec learned a new skill this week. He was playing a game of peek-a-boo with dad one night in his bed. Matt would kneal on the side of the bed and then jump up to see Alec sitting in the bed (Alec is endlessly entertained with this. So, Matt popped up a few times, and then to his surprise he popped up to see Alec's little head staring over the side of the bed at him, instead of Alec inside the bed. The little man can officially pull himself up into a standing position and has had a heck of a time doing so since. He is really good at it in his bed, but also made it up while using the coffee table in the family room today. Can you say trouble for mom and dad? Just look how proud he is of himself.
