Professional Pics
For X-mas Abby and Ross got us a photo session w/ Julie Harris, the photographer who did both Abby and I's weddings, and several other significant events for us in between. She came and took pics on Saturday and we couldn't be happier with them. Alec was actually in a bad mood, he didn't nap in the morning, and Julie still managed to get some of the most incredible pics ever. We couldn't be happier with them. Attached is the link - if you click on Erin's favorites you can see the ones we like best, and if anyone wants any just let me know. I have all the digital copies, so don't order them through the website b/c I can print them much cehaper. Thanks so much Abby and Ross for the best gift ever.

Happy Easter
Alec enjoyed his first Easter. We had brunch at our house, and Alec got all dressed up. Aunt Abby gave him his very first sweater vest (yes - sweater vest) and he wore it with style on Sunday. He also enjoyed his first bite of a pancake, sitting (and dozing a bit) in his high chair, chewing on a frozen carrot - thanks Eatser bunny, and gazing with wonder at Madison and Brody. All in all, a great holiday for a 6 month old.

A visit with my cousin
The woes of rolling over
So, Matt and I thought it was just adorable when Alec mastered rolling from his back to his belly. He started doing it all the time, and we couldn't get enough. However, things have taken a little bit of a turn for the worse as Alec has started this new trick at night in his bed. They say that once a baby can roll to their bellies you don't need to worry about them sleeping on their stomachs, so that isn't the problem. The problem is that little Alec hates being on his belly and won't sleep that way. Unfortunately, he refuses to roll back over from his stomach to his back (which is supposed to be the easier way to roll) and therefore needs mom or dad to come and rescue him at night. Long and short of it - he is rolling onto his belly all night long and then screaming until we come and roll him back over. And....this is happening over and over - i.e. every ten minutes. Ahhh!!! So, mom is giving him as much tummy time as possible during the day and we are working really hard at getting that roll mastered, but someone is a little stubborn. And - the big smile on the pics is not the face the little man makes in the middle of the night (but who would take pics of that anyway.) We have his 6 month appt on Wed., so hopefully the doc can give us some pointers. Until then - we are a little more sleepy eyed than normal around here.

Baby Reid
Welcome to the world baby Reid. Nate and Renae welcomed Reid James Sungy on March 4th. He weighs 6lbs, 8 oz, and is doing great. Alec was thrilled to go and meet his first cousin at the hospital, well, actually he was a little confused about why he wasn't getting all the attention, but he still enjoyed meeting his new friend. He also made sure to make himself heard. As sweet little Reid looked around and slept, wild little Alec cried and wormed all around the room!! The days of sitting still have passed us by. As you can see - Reid is a beautiful little boy and we are so excited for all the fun the cousins will have together.

Parent's Weekend Out
Thanks to a vendor of Matt's, we got to spend Friday night up in Copper mountain. They put us up in a great condo, and paid for our lift tickets and activites on Saturday. It was a beautiful day, and we really enjoyed getting out and hitting the slopes. I haven't been skiing in two years, so I enjoyed getting back into it and it was nice to have a day outside on our own. Alec spent the night at Grammy and Papa's and had a terrific time. We're not sure what went on, but he came home in one of the best moods ever. He was laughing and smiling like we have never seen on Saturday night!!! Either he really missed us, or he had some happy potion at Grammy's. The pics are from when we got home - as you can see, he was all smiles.
