Keeping Busy

 It looks like we might finally see spring around here.  We've been so happy to have a few days warm enough to be outside and we've taken full advantage.  Our boys are SO much happier when they can be out in the sunshine. 

 Alec and I did a 5K color run in our neighborhood.  It was a lot of fun and Alec declared that from now on he wants to run all 5k's!

 We even picked up Charlie before the finish

 We took our bikes over to Geneva on Saturday and rode along the river.  Just like his brother at 3, Charlie made the entire first leg of the trip on his own, which is no easy feet with his small bike and training wheels.  He's definitely gonna learn to ride sans training wheels this summer

 And we woke up this week to a crew of city workers in our yard cutting down a tree.  I guess a ton of the trees in Wheaton are infected with this Ash bug and the city is cutting them down, which is sad to see b/c they are cutting some huge trees, but it was completely fascinating for 3 boys to watch.

Catch Up

 Just some quick catch up, it's FINALLY been nice enough for us to be outside a little bit this week and we have taken full advantage.  Alec is doing a week long soccer camp for spring break, which has been awesome, and otherwise we haven't been up to much.

And here's crazy Charlie doing the monkey bars.  He just decided he was gonna do it and sure enough he made it all the way across (about 10 times.) There were definitely strangers stopping to watch and applauding and cheering b/c it was so insane to see such a little guy doing this.  Funniest part is that falling off at the end might have been his favorite part:)

Happy Birthday Charlie

 Happy 3rd Birthday to our Charlie Matthew, who has more personality, spunk and attitude than the rest of us combined!  We adore him and laugh out loud every day at his antics.  He is a wild and crazy boy who talks extremely loudly all the time.  He is obsessed with basketball, wearing shorts and jerseys, asking "why?," his big brother Alec and eating ice cream! Our lives wouldn't be complete without you Squatty, we love you!

 

Grammy and Aunt Abby and Ava came to help celebrate.  Grammy made Charlie bball cookies to take to school and a basketball cake.
